- 6 oz chow mein noodles
- 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken thighs or breasts, cut into 1-inch cubes or strips
- 2 Tbsp oil
- 2 cups shredded green cabbage
- 1 cup matchstick carrots
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 3 green onions, sliced
- 1 cup bean sprouts, optional
- 1/2 yellow onion, sliced vertically
- Ingredients For The Sauce
- 4 Tbsp soy sauce
- 2 Tbsp chicken broth or water
- 1 Tbsp oyster sauce
- 1 Tbsp cornstarch
- 1 Tbsp sesame oil
- 1 Tbsp honey, or sugar (optional)
Instructions

Make the Sauce: In a small bowl, whisk all the ingredients for the sauce and set aside.

Prepare the noodles: Cook the noodles according to the directions on the package.

Heat oil in a wok or a large skillet over high heat. Add the chicken and 1 tablespoon of the prepared sauce. Cook for 3-5 minutes or until chicken pieces are golden and cooked through.

Add the cabbage, carrots, onion, and garlic; Stir fry for 2 minutes.

Add in the cooked noodles, chopped green onions, bean sprouts, and sauce, cook for 1 minute, stirring frequently.

Remove from heat and serve immediately.
